Why are government investing wrong kind fusion.?
The british Government are investing into high pressure and temperature fusion. Using high currents to create the temperature. However there is another kind. You can use an electrode at the center of a vacuum and a large spherical electrode surrounding inside interior.. A high pd of about 40kv accelerates deuterium nuclei towards inner grid which is permeable electrode made of rings of wire. They collide at center with many thousands of kev, and this exceeds energy needed to overcome electric field that causes repulsion between nuclei and they get close enough to let strong nuclear force act.Binding energy per nucleon decreases so energy is emitted around 13 times that needed to cause collision where nuclei get so close to interact. Surely a heat engine could be coupled to this if turbo molecular pumps r used to pump low pressure gas through heat exchanger which i reckon could be done. This could also be used on a small scale to power vehicles. So why are they investing in high pressure temperature fusion :/? Im building one of these devices anyway. This is a genuine technology. Not cold fusion thats something different. Why do government invest in teh more large scale method :/? The large scale method uses electric fields to hold deuterium in place, molten lithium ect. This could lead to an explosion. The method above could probably be used to power vehicles even. The governments method only works huge scale and still isn't perfected and doesn't produce any excess of energy at best. Huge capacitor banks are needed. The government method has many flaws. Because of the high pressure, taking away helium, feeding in the hydrogen is impossible basically. The hydrogen is even contained in a magnetic field. . Where as in the vacuum method this is easy to accomplish. They could be investing in a superior technology but choose to ignore it. Why?
