Can you "weld" aluminum with molten aluminum?

i have a 10 foot aluminum boat and it has about 3 cracks on the hull near the transom and i was wondering if i could melt some aluminum and pour it on the cracks to "weld" it? btw i already melt aluminum as a hobby,
